Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

Welcome to Global Table Recipes! I’m Maya, and I run this blog from my kitchen in the Midwest. I care deeply about your privacy and want you to feel safe and comfortable while you browse, cook, and connect here. This page explains what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, just reach out at [email protected] or visit the contact page.

Who We Are

This site is run by Maya, founder of Global Table Recipes. You can find more about me on the About page. This privacy policy applies to all visitors and users of globaltablerecipes.com.

What Information We Collect

Here’s what I collect and why:

  • Email Addresses: If you sign up for the newsletter, I’ll ask for your email address. That’s it—no names or other details required.
  • Comments: If you leave a comment on a recipe, you may be asked for your name (you can use a nickname) and email. This helps prevent spam and lets me reply to you.
  • Cookies & Analytics: Like most websites, I use cookies and Google Analytics to see which recipes are popular and how people use the site. This helps me make Global Table Recipes better for you.
  • Device & Usage Info: Google Analytics collects info like your browser type, device, and what pages you visit. This data is anonymous and can’t be used to identify you personally.

How I Use Your Information

  • Newsletter: If you sign up, I’ll send you recipe updates and occasional news. You can unsubscribe anytime—just click the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Comments: Your comment and name (or nickname) will show up on the recipe page. Your email stays private and is only used if I need to get in touch about your comment.
  • Site Improvements: Analytics help me see what’s working and what’s not, so I can keep making the site better for you.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny files stored on your device. They help the site remember your preferences (like if you’ve commented before) and let me see how people use the site through analytics. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings if you prefer, but some features (like remembering your comment info) might not work as smoothly.

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Global Table Recipes. This service collects anonymous data like which pages you visit, how long you stay, and what kind of device you’re using. Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser. You can learn more about how Google uses data here and opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Newsletter

If you join the newsletter, your email address is stored securely and only used to send you updates from Global Table Recipes. I never sell or share your email with anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any newsletter email.

Children’s Privacy

This site is meant for home cooks and food lovers of all ages, but I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal info, please email me at [email protected] and I’ll remove it right away.

How Your Information Is Protected

I take your privacy seriously. Your information is stored securely and only used for the reasons listed above. I never sell or trade your personal data. If I ever need to work with a trusted service provider (like an email newsletter service), I make sure they’re committed to keeping your info safe, too.

Sharing Your Information

I don’t share your personal information with third parties except:

  • With trusted service providers who help me run the newsletter or manage the website (they only use your info to help me, never for their own purposes).
  • If required by law, such as to comply with a legal process or protect the rights and safety of Global Table Recipes or others.

Your Rights (CCPA & More)

If you live in California, you have special rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • You can ask what personal info I have about you.
  • You can ask me to delete your info.
  • You can ask me not to sell your info (I don’t sell it anyway).

To make a request, just email [email protected] or use the contact page. I’ll respond as soon as possible, usually within a week.

If you’re in the EU or UK, you have similar rights under GDPR. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data at any time.

How Long I Keep Your Info

I keep your info only as long as needed—for example, your email stays on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe. Comments stay on the site unless you ask me to remove them.

Links to Other Sites

Sometimes I link to other food blogs or helpful resources. I’m not responsible for their privacy practices, so please check their policies if you visit their sites.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. If I make big changes, I’ll post a notice on the site. The latest version will always be here, with the date at the top.

Contact

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please email me at [email protected] or visit the contact page. I’m always happy to help.
