Description
A rich, creamy, and energizing breakfast smoothie made with frozen bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and milk. It tastes like a milkshake but provides sustained energy and satiety.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large frozen banana (about 120g)
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice (optional, if bananas aren’t frozen solid)
Instructions
- Peel bananas, break into chunks, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Add milk to the blender first to help blades spin freely.
- Add frozen banana chunks, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and optional sweetener.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more honey or milk as needed.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
Notes
Use frozen bananas for a thick, creamy texture; fresh bananas will result in a watery smoothie. If using protein powder, add it after blending the base to avoid clumping. Smoothies separate quickly, so drink immediately for best texture.
