Peanut Butter Chocolate Smoothie: 3-Ingredient Easy Breakfast

  • Author: Maya
  • Total Time: 3 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A rich, creamy, and energizing breakfast smoothie made with frozen bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and milk. It tastes like a milkshake but provides sustained energy and satiety.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large frozen banana (about 120g)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ice (optional, if bananas aren’t frozen solid)

Instructions

  1. Peel bananas, break into chunks, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Add milk to the blender first to help blades spin freely.
  3. Add frozen banana chunks, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and optional sweetener.
  4. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more honey or milk as needed.
  6. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen bananas for a thick, creamy texture; fresh bananas will result in a watery smoothie. If using protein powder, add it after blending the base to avoid clumping. Smoothies separate quickly, so drink immediately for best texture.
