Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon: Easy Sheet Pan for 1-2

  • Author: Maya
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

A quick, right-sized sheet pan dinner designed for one or two people, featuring salmon fillets with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze and roasted vegetables, ready in just 20 minutes with zero leftovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (or asparagus, green beans, bell peppers)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a standard 18×13 inch sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Toss broccoli florets with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Spread them in a single layer on one side of the prepared sheet pan.
  4. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the other side of the sheet pan, skin-side down.
  5. Brush the top of each fillet generously with half of the honey garlic glaze.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. After 6 minutes, remove the pan and brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
  7. Return to the oven and roast for the remaining 4-6 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
  8. Remove from oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately with the roasted vegetables.

Notes

Pat the salmon dry before glazing to ensure caramelization. Do not overcook; salmon continues to cook after removal from the oven. For best results, use fresh garlic. If using thin fillets, check for doneness at 8 minutes. Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan for enhanced flavor.
