Homemade Everything Bagel Crackers: Easy Party Snacks

  • Author: Maya
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 40-50 crackers 1x

Description

These homemade everything bagel crackers are incredibly easy to make, requiring just 20 minutes from start to finish. They are crispy, flavorful, and perfect for parties, snacking, or serving with dips and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (250g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup (115g) Unsalted Butter, cold and cubed
  • 3 tablespoons Everything Bagel Seasoning (divided)
  • 68 tablespoons Ice-cold Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and 2 tablespoons of the everything bagel seasoning. Mix well.
  2. Add the cold, cubed butter. Pinch the butter into the flour with your hands or pulse in a food processor until the mixture resembles coarse sand with some pea-sized butter pieces remaining.
  3. Gradually add the ice-cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing gently until the dough just comes together into a ball. It should not be sticky.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, flatten into a disc, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  7. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. Score the dough into squares or rectangles without cutting all the way through.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning evenly over the top and press gently to adhere.
  9. Use a fork to poke holes (dock) all over the surface of the dough to prevent puffing.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, until golden brown around the edges.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool on the pan for 5 minutes. Break along scored lines and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Keep all ingredients cold, especially the butter, to ensure flaky, crisp crackers. Do not skip the chilling step. The crackers will crisp up further as they cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
