Description
A bright, fizzy, and refreshing summer drink made with just fresh raspberries, lemon juice, and sparkling water. This simple recipe is ready in 5 minutes and offers customizable sweetness.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh raspberries (120g)
- 2 large lemons (yielding approx. 1/2 cup juice)
- 2–3 tablespoons sweetener (honey, simple syrup, or agave)
- 2 cups sparkling water (plain, unflavored)
- Ice
- Optional garnish: lemon slices, fresh raspberries, or mint leaves
Instructions
- Wash raspberries and place them in the bottom of a glass or mixing bowl.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the raspberries.
- Add sweetener (microwave honey briefly if needed to make it runnier).
- Muddle the raspberries with the back of a spoon or muddler until broken down and juicy.
- Mix the raspberry-lemon-sweetener base until the sweetener is dissolved.
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Slowly pour sparkling water over the ice to preserve carbonation.
- Gently stir to mix the base with the sparkling water.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if needed.
- Garnish with lemon slices, raspberries, or mint and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use ice-cold sparkling water to maintain carbonation. If making for a crowd, batch the raspberry-lemon base ahead of time and keep sparkling water separate until serving. Frozen raspberries can be used if thawed slightly first. Avoid granulated sugar as it does not dissolve well in cold liquids.
