Football Party Charcuterie Board with Smoked Cheddar

  • Author: Maya
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

An easy, no-cook game day charcuterie board featuring a creamy smoked cheddar and fig jam spread, paired with salami, nuts, and crackers. Perfect for impressing guests without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces smoked cheddar cheese (block, shredded)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • 6 ounces hard salami (thinly sliced)
  • 6 ounces smoked gouda or sharp cheddar (cubed or sliced)
  • 2 cups crackers (mix of water crackers and sourdough)
  • 1 cup fresh grapes
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans (toasted)
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots or figs (quartered)
  • 2 tablespoons mustard or honey (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine softened cream cheese, shredded smoked cheddar, fig jam, garlic powder, and black pepper. Pulse until smooth and creamy. Adjust thickness with milk if needed and set aside.
  2. Wash and dry the grapes. Toast walnuts or pecans in a dry pan for 2 minutes and let cool. Slice salami and cheese. Quarter larger dried fruits.
  3. Place small bowls of mustard, honey, and extra jam on the board.
  4. Arrange cheese cubes and rolled salami bundles around the board.
  5. Add grapes and dried fruits to fill gaps and add color.
  6. Scatter toasted nuts and crackers around the board, fanning out crackers for height.
  7. Dollop the smoked cheddar spread in 3-4 spots on the board.
  8. Add fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for garnish if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure cheese is at room temperature before serving for best flavor. Toast nuts to enhance flavor. Do not freeze the cheese spread as it will separate. If the spread is too runny, add more cheddar and chill for 15 minutes. If crackers are stale, toast them lightly.
