Description
A quick, homemade copycat version of the popular coffee shop drink featuring a rich chai-spiced pumpkin cream topping over cold brew coffee, ready in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (480ml) cold brew coffee
- Ice
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons (30g) pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon chai spice blend
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or vanilla syrup
- ½ cup (120ml) milk
Instructions
- Pour 1½ to 2 cups of cold brew into a glass, filling it about halfway, and add ice to the top.
- In a blender, combine heavy cream, pumpkin puree, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and milk.
- Blend on high for 15-20 seconds until the mixture is frothy and slightly thickened like a loose mousse.
- Taste the cream and adjust sweetness or spice if desired.
- Slowly pour the chai pumpkin cream over the back of a spoon onto the ice and cold brew to create a layered effect.
- Serve immediately, optionally garnishing with a dusting of cinnamon.
Notes
Ensure pumpkin puree is 100% pure pumpkin, not pie filling. For dairy-free, use full-fat coconut cream and oat milk. Fresh spices make a significant difference in flavor. A pinch of salt enhances the sweetness.
